Áine King

Theatre Director       Designer      Dramaturg

​​Áine King is a dramatist, director and designer. An Irish East-Ender, she studied at St Martin’s School Of Art, Brighton, Sussex and R.A.D.A. Áine was Associate Director for Otherplace Productions, Brighton from 2008 – 2013, and is now based in the Orkney Isles, Scotland.
​
Much of Áine’s work for theatre is multi-disciplinary; writing and designing simultaneously, creating productions that are holistic, with strong interplay between text and visual imagery. Her immersive adaptation of Dracula won a Fringe Report award in 2011 for Best Auteur, writing, direction and design.
